AIKON Manual 39mm Collectors Edition

Maurice Lacroix continues its enduring love story with Japan, unveiling the first-ever AIKON equipped with a manual-winding movement. Limited to just 500 exclusive pieces, this new model embodies a blend of meticulous Swiss craftsmanship and a nod to the distinguished horological appreciation found within the Japanese market.

The new AIKON was designed in collaboration with Koji Nakazawa, founder of the Maurice Lacroix Watch Club Japan. It is a follow-up to the collaboration model he designed in 2021, based on the AIKON Automatic 42mm. To create this unique new AIKON, Nakazawa-san drew inspiration from the love Japanese collectors have for vintage timepieces. The clean dial, free of a date window and second hand, achieves an aesthetically pleasing result by creating symmetry, a feature often favored by Japanese collectors. Maurice Lacroix prides itself on maintaining close relationships with its customers and incorporating their feedback into new timepieces. This collaboration is the result of such a connection.

The AIKON Manual 39mm Collectors Edition is more than a watch; it is an invitation to embrace a purist approach to timekeeping.

The hand-wound movement allows aficionados to engage deeply with their timepiece, fostering an interaction that speaks to patience and precision. With its iconic six-claw bezel and striking deep blue Clous de Paris dial, the design retains AIKON’s urban sophistication, enhanced by a touch of timeless elegance. The Clous de Paris pattern has been updated on this new design, featuring a height of 0.16mm compared to 0.08mm on previous versions. A new clasp has been introduced for the vintage leather strap—a deployant type previously reserved for the Masterpiece collection. Additionally, the new hand-wound movement allows for a thinner case by 1mm (11mm on the AIKON Automatic vs. 10mm here). The timepiece features an open caseback engraved with “Limited Edition of 500,” underscoring its exclusive nature. Maurice Lacroix has also equipped the model with its Easy Strap Exchange system, offering versatility through a five-row stainless steel bracelet and a blue vintage leather strap adorned with the rhodium-plated M-logo.

This special edition represents the synergy between Maurice Lacroix and Japan—a relationship built on mutual respect and admiration for artistry and innovation. Through this creation, Maurice Lacroix celebrates both its horological heritage and the unique tastes of Japanese watch enthusiasts.

Maurice Lacroix’s Managing Director, Stéphane Waser, shares: “This new chapter for the AIKON collection embodies our brand's innovative spirit and deep respect for watchmaking heritage. By introducing a manual movement and celebrating our connection with Japan, we invite watch aficionados to engage directly with the essence of Swiss craftsmanship.”

This exclusive model is poised to captivate collectors seeking a timepiece that embodies both contemporary luxury and timeless tradition, cementing the AIKON’s legacy as an icon in horology.
